Day 132 - Thursday 18th August 2016.

Southport - visited Jodi in hospital - Day 55.

Marg is feeling better, not 100% but getting there.

Jodi has as yet, an undiagnosed problem and is currently in the Gold Coast Hospital.

Marg is sleeping better and managed to sleep in this morning, while I got up, had brekky and changed into 'cycleman' and left camp at 8:17am.

I decided on my normal ride of approx 56kms. I rode out of the park and headed North to Lands End and then South to Burleigh Heads Bluff. I made it to the Burleigh Heads Bluff, where I took a couple of photos. Then headed back to the North again and stopping at Surfers to take my daily weather photos then headed via the Federation 'gravel' Walk out to The Spit. As I was riding out along at the Spit, I noticed a splash and the lady I was passing said "Did you see that?". It was a whale, so I hurried out to the end. One thing that I noticed. Whales do whatever they want too and WILL NOT pose for a photo. I reckon that there were 2 whales maybe 3 and ONLY 100 meters off the Spit. I missed the biggest splash made by their flipper. typical. I ate my 2 bananas and then rode back to camp.

I arrived home at 11:26am after 55.6kms.

My riding stats: Today's ride of 56kms gives me a total of 549kms for August.
1,052kms for July, 681kms for June and 369kms for May and my 31st ride at Southport for a total of 1,510kms, while at Dicky I rode 986kms OR if you are really into figures, I have ridden 2,799kms since leaving home back on 9th April.

Once I showered, Marg and I visited Jodi in Hospital, she looked OK, but the doctors haven't diagnosed exactly what is wrong with her. It appears to be a lower back problem.

We called into Lukeys on the way home, to see how he is handling the situation. All Good so far.

Ravioli with sauce. It was yumma.

Tomorrow nothing is planned.

Jodi - no change.

The sooner our girls get better, the better it will be.

Marg is sleeping better and managed to sleep in this morning, while I got up, had brekky and changed into 'cycleman' and left camp at 7:38am.

No whales today. I ate my 2 bananas and then rode to Cafe Rockpool, where I weakened and had a 'triple choc muffin' and a coffee then rode back to camp.

I arrived home at 11:38am after 56.6kms.

My riding stats: Today's ride of 57kms gives me a total of 606kms for August.
1,052kms for July, 681kms for June and 369kms for May and my 32nd ride at Southport for a total of 1,567kms, while at Dicky I rode 986kms OR if you are really into figures, I have ridden 2,856kms since leaving home back on 9th April.

Once I showered, Marg and I drove over to Spotlight, she needed 'stuff' then over to South Park for lunch at Michels (pies and coke) and a small food shop at Woollies. During the arvo, while Marg managed a nanna nap, I sat on the benchseat about 20 meters from our fiver and played with the manual settings on my camera. I have a lot to learn.

Dinner was Marg's 'world famous' potatoes in their jackets. They were YUMMA.

Tomorrow nothing is planned.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 57.

Current Medical updates.
Marg - says that she is 99.9% OK.
Jodi - Day 6 in hospital - no change.

The sooner our girls get better, the better it will be.

We had organised last night to visit Lukey and give him a hand to look after the kids and give him a bit of 'him' time.
We slept well and were woken by the alarm at 6:00am. We got up and drove over to Lukeys arrived at 6:45am. Little Mase welcomed us at the front door, as he woke Lukey at 5:30am.

About 8am, I drove Lukey to Helensvale, where we did his food shopping. Called into Mont's dance place and paid for next month's lessons, before heading back to Lukeys. I was Mase's main 'playmate' while Marg is making Mont's outfit for Monday's assembly, she is going as Usian Bolt. When Mase went for his lunchtime sleep, Marg and I headed back to camp, and both of us had a nanna nap.

At 5:00pm, Lukey rang us as he was leaving Jodi in hospital and we drove back to his place in an absolute thunderstorm, it bucketed dowm BUt only for 20 minutes then disappeared. Marg had made the tortelini dish that Cheryl showed us. We all ate it including Mont. Lukey took Mase for a walk in his pram which puts him to sleep, when Mase was asleep, Marg and I drove back to camp. As we left Lukey said that he was buggered and about to go to sleep.

Dinner was Marg's tortellini dish that Cheryl showed us. It was YUMMA.

Tomorrow same as today, we will get here about 6:30am and will stay the night.

Day 135 - Sunday 21st August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 58.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 7 in hospital - no change.

Same as yesterday, we had organised last night to visit Lukey and give him a hand to look after the kids and give him a bit of 'him' time.
We slept well and were woken by the alarm at 6:00am. We got up and drove over to Lukeys arrived at 6:45am. Little Mase welcomed us at the front door, as he just had woken Lukey.

We took control of Mase and Lukey managed to go back to sleep. Marg had promised Mont scrambled eggs for brekky, if she didn't get up before 8:30am, She didn't, SO she had scrambled eggs for brekky. About 10am, Lukey and his kids went to visit Jodi, so Marg and I visited Donut King at Helensvale, then went to Woollies. Back at Lukeys, we filled his clam with new sand and Mase loved it. Mase slept for a few hours and when he got up, he took a fancy to me. He lead me everywhere by my finger. He is very bossy.

As it is Mont's birthday, she wanted and got Maccas for dinner.

Tomorrow same as today, except that I am taking Mont to school at 7:45am, she has band practice.

No riding today.

Mase leading Grandpa everywhere

Day 136 - Monday 22nd August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 59.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 8 in hospital - still undergoing various tests and MRIs and X rays.

Today, we looked after Mase and Mont, took Mont to school, went to Donut King to tire out Mase, visited Jodi in Hossy, called into our camp, went to Mont's school assembly, did some food shopping, died(rested while they visited Jodi), cooked dinner and entertained Mase.

We decided it was easier to sleep at Lukeys, so we have 'sort of' moved into his spare room. Last night we all went to bed at 8pm, as Mase slept so did we.

I set the alarm for 6am, as Mont has to be at school for band practice by 7:45am. All was going to plan until at 5:50am, a light was turned on, so I got up to check and little Mase had just walked out of Mont's room. I closed Lukey's bedroom door and entertained Mase, as Mont got up and got herself organised for school. She is an absolute marvel, as she looks after Mase and herself. Marg got up thinking it was 7am (the girl's a bit thick). Mont and I left for school at 7:30am and she made 'Band practice' with no dramas.

Back at Lukeys, Marg was looking after Mase but once I walked in, he came back to me. Lukey managed a nice sleepin which helped him. About 9:30am, Mase, Lukey, Marg and me drove over to Donut King at Helensvale in Lukey's new car, purely to make Mase tired. As we were at Donut King, why not have a hot dog and coke, so we did and little Mase had a slice of toasted raisin bread.

Back at Lukeys again, I sat on the couch to play on my laptop, when little Mase walked up to me and grabs my finger and leads me to where he wants us to play. You may have seen yesterday's photo of me wearing Mase's hat. He puts it on my head and when I take it off, he tells me to put it on again. I think he likes grandpa looking like a dickhead. At 11am, Marg and I escaped and drove over to visit Jodi in Hossy. We thought that she looks better. We stayed for awhile, before calling into camp, to get some stuff out of the fiver as we are now staying at Lukeys indefinitely. I told our neighbours that we would be away for awhile, they will keep an eye on our fiver.

We dropped in the gear, that we took from the fiver, at Lukeys on our way to Mont's school. We arrived at Mont's school just before 2pm for the senior school's assembly. Last week we went to the wrong assembly, this week, we fluked the right one. Mont's class was running the assembly and the focus was the Rio Olympics. Mont dressed up as Usian Bolt. She looked good and she was also awarded a certificate for her Japanese competition that she entered. We brought Mont home from school and while Lukey and the kids went and visited Jodi, Marg and I visited Woollies at Pac Pines. While we were waiting for them to arrive home, Marg managed a nanna nap, while I did this and buggered about on my laptop.

Marg cooked pasta and sauce. It was yumma.

Tomorrow same as today, except Marg and I are trying to get to Bingo, after dropping Mont at school.

No riding for the next few days while staying at Lukeys.

Day 137 - Tuesday 23rd August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 60.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 9 in hospital - still undergoing various tests and MRIs and X rays.

Today, we looked after Mase and Mont, took Mont to school, went to Bingo, called into our camp, stopped at Gloria Jean for a coffee, picked Mont up from school, entertained Mase.

We stayed at Lukeys for the 2nd night and slept well. Again going to bed when the grandkids went to bed about 8pm.

I didn't set the alarm and I got up at 6am, as I hadn't heard any noise, I thought everyone was still asleep. Nope, Mase had woken at 4am and was in with Lukey. We eventually got Mase off Lukey, as he has been very clingy lately, you can't blame him, as he is missing his mum. We got Lukey back to bed for a rest, while we entertained Mase. Lukey, Mont and Mase had brekky and Marg and I dropped Mont at school and then drove to the Southport Sharks for Bingo. Lukey insisted that we go to Bingo. Who are we to argue with that.

So we dropped Mont at school at 8;20am and arrived at the Sharks at about 8:50am. The 15 minute drive took a tad longer due to the traffic. Our table was STILL 'free' so we sat there. While I brought 2 full sets plus 2 lucky numbers plus 2 undercovers tickets for $50, Marg ordered bacon and eggs and coffee. They were yumma. Marg and I marked the various games and were ready for the 9:30am eyes down with 10 minutes to spare, SO we read the Herald Sun on our iPads.

Upto half time, we didn't get a look in. The 1st game after halftime, Marg won $20 and then I won $34 in a special game, sharing it with 2 other 'old farts'.

Our Bingo summary after our 11th appearance, paid $50 won $54. At Dicky we lost $44. Our overall winnings are $219.

After Bingo, we drove back to camp and picked up my camera cables and Marg's charger. Stopped at Helensvale for a coffee before getting back to Lukeys. I left at 2:30pm, to park at school and wait with ALL the other parents for their kids. Mont and I got home and I showed Mont how to play Bingo. I brought one of our Bingo tickets home. She liked it. We also spent time out the backyard, with Mont and Mase playing in the sandpit.

Dinner was a different pasta tonight. It was yumma.

Tomorrow will be similar to today.

No riding today.

Mase dressed Grandpa in Grandpa's after 5pm attire.

The happy family.

Day 138 - Wednesday 24th August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 61.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 10 in hospital - no change.

Today, we looked after Mase and Mont, took Mont to school, went to Donut King, called into our camp, picked Mont up from school, went to CSI for family meal.

We stayed at Lukeys for the 3rd night and slept well. Again going to bed just after the grandkids.

We are getting into a routine. I wake just on 6am and get up and entertain Mase, Lukey tries for a bit more sleep, Mont is marvellous. She gets up and makes Mase a slice of toast. Today, Mont had to dress as a 'book character' for school. She looked very good, buggered if I know what character she was.
Mont does ALL her own stuff (cleans her room, dresses, makes her brekky and lunch etc). She is extremely good.

Mase woke about 5:40am, a very good night for him. He walked into Lukeys and woke him, when I got up, I took over from Lukey. Marg saw the 'light of day' about 6:30am ish. Mont was meant to have 'athletics Practice' this morning BUT as it rained steadily all night, we made (a management) decision and thought it would be called off, so I drove her to school for the normal 8:30am start time. Naturally, being wet, it was busy as. I got back to Lukeys and about 10am, we (Lukey, Mase, Marg and I) drove in separate cars to Donut King. As I have said previously, it was purely to make Mase tired. It worked because when Lukey got home, Mase was asleep and he was put into his bed, where he slept until 1:30pm. While at Helensvale, I got a balloon from a friendly policeman for Mase, Mase loved it.

After coffee and cinnanon donuts at Donut King, Lukey took Mase home, while Marg and I visited our fiver. We had 2 hours to kill, so we watched the first two episodes of Aussie Survivor. Marg and I enjoy Survivor. The fiver handled the rain well, inside was dry, the annex had a few damp spots, but that is normal. It rained for the entire time that we were in the fiver. I wanted to be at Mont's school about 2:15pm, even though it doesn't finish until 3pm. Reason is, it is a wet day and the parking is always a bugger. SO we left camp about 1:40pm, dropped Marg off at Lukeys and I drove over to the school. Again it was that 'drizzly' rain, ALL DAY.

Well, shock, horror, I got pole position.
By 2:30pm, all parking appeared to be taken, so I was happy. I spent the time reading the GC Bulletin, Courier Mail and Herald Sun on my iPad. So I had heaps to read. At school 'knockoff time' it had stopped raining and I met Mont at our prearranged meeting point (at the school gate). We drove back home, and Lukey, Mont and Mase headed off to see Jodi, while Marg and I headed to our club (CSI Southport) for some 'playtime'. Well, Marg will play the pokies, which bore me 'shitless' and I will write this and bugger about on my laptop. Lukey and the Grandkids are planning to meet us here for dinner between 5-5:30pm, as the hossy is only a couple of kilometers away. They arrived at 5:45pm.

Dinner was: Marg - lamb cutlets, Mont - Fish and Chips, Mase - chips, Lukey - parma and me a 12' pizza. It was all yumma.

We think that our latest routine is a winner.
  • Get up and entertain Mase and assist Mont wherever possible.
  • Drive Mont to school.
  • Lukey, Mase, Marg and me visit Helensvale shops. Ok, Donut King - I like their coffee and maybe an odd donut or two.
  • Marg and I have 'us time' at the fiver for a couple of hours.
  • Pick up Mont from school.
  • Entertain Mase frequently.

Tomorrow will be similar to today.

No riding or photos today.

Day 139 - Thursday 25th August 2016.

Happy 86th Birthday, Dad.

Southport - Day 62.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 11 in hospital - no change.

Today, we looked after Mase and Mont, took Mont to school, went to Gloria Jean, called into our camp, picked Mont up from school, picked her up from Dance.

Another night at Lukeys. Again going to bed just after the grandkids.

Today, I heard Mase awake at 5:30am, I got up and Mase was cuddling lukey. he was extremely clingy this morning and it took nearly 2 hours before Mase would 'play' with me. Consequently, Lukey didn't manage any extra sleep. Mont made Mase a slice of toast. After brekky, I drove Mont to school. Lukey and Mase visited Jodi for most of the morning. Marg and I had 'us time' between 9am and 2pm. We stopped at Gloria Jeans at Helensvale for a coffee and did a small food shop at Woollies, then continued on to camp. It was such a beautiful, sunny day that Marg 'made' me go for a ride, so I did.

I wasn't prepared to ride, I had left my sony camera at Lukey, so I decided to use my iPhone. While in Coober Pedy, Marg used my iPhone to take some ordinary and panoramics shots of the Breakaways, and they were very good. I changed into 'cycleman' and left camp at 10:42am.

I decided on a short 33kms ride. I rode out of the park and headed North to Lands End and then South to Laycock Ave, Surfers then took my daily weather photos then headed via the Federation 'gravel' Walk out to The Spit, then back to camp. No time for a coffee today, as we had to leave by 1:30pm for me to get to Mont's school.

I arrived back at camp at 12:42pm after 33.8kms.

My riding stats: Today's ride of 34kms gives me a total of 640kms for August.
1,052kms for July, 681kms for June and 369kms for May and my 33rd ride at Southport for a total of 1,601kms, while at Dicky I rode 986kms OR if you are really into figures, I have ridden 2,890kms since leaving home back on 9th April.

While I was out riding, Marg did 2 loads of washing and watched some of our recorded Dance Mom TV episodes.

I got to Mont's school at 2:05pm and was 2nd on the grid. I spent the time reading the GC Bulletin, Courier Mail and Herald Sun on my iPad. I met Mont and we drove back home. Lukey and his shadow (Mase) drove Mont to her Dance class and I picked her up at 6pm. Mase went down about 6:45pm, so we had more 'us time' where I wrote this update.

Dinner was chicken pasta, made by one of Jodi's girlfriends. It was bloody YUMMA. We have enough leftovers for tomorrow night's dinner.

Jodi - Day 12 in hospital - no change.

Today was the Gold Coast show day holiday. We looked after Mase and Mont, while Lukey visited Jodi, we entertained the grandkids at camp. Lukey and I went food shopping.

Another night at Lukeys. Again going to bed just after the grandkids.

Today, Marg got up at 5:30am after hearing Mase, I was knackered and managed to sleep in until 6:30am. We had brekky, and got ourselves organised and about 9am, we drove to our camp as Lukey wanted to visit Jodi without the kids. At camp, we all went for a walk, I had Mase in his trike which I pushed. As we passed the Office on our way to see George and his mates, Lukey vanished to his car. Mase didn't notice that and by the time we reached George and his mates, Mase was completely absorbed with the 'birdies'. We then walked over to and I pushed Mase to the beach to look for the 'soldier crabs'. Luckily, the tide was out and there were 000s of soldier crabs everywhere. Mont picked some up and I showed Mase some but Mase wouldn't touch them. We continued along the beach, where we stopped and built sandcastles. Continuing on to the new playground area near the boat ramp. Mont loved the swings, we then continued onto Cafe Rockpool where Marg and I had coffee, Mont had a orange drink and Mase has raisin toast. We stopped off at the swings on the way back to camp. By now, Mase was getting tired but still not grumpy. We finally made it back to the area near our fiver. Lukey eventually came back about 12:15pm. Mase's behaviour was exceptional, he did not grump once and Mont was just tremendous again.

We all drove back to Lukeys, Mase was asleep when he arrived and Lukey put him to bed. While Mase was asleep, Marg stayed home and Lukey and I did a small food shop at Woollies. For the rest of the arvo, we stayed home and when Mase woke, we entertained him. Marg and Mont did some 'girlie things'.

Dinner was the leftover chicken pasta from last night. It was still bloody YUMMA.

Tomorrow will be similar to today.

Day 141 - Saturday 27th August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 64.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 13 in hospital - no change.

As we are basically, doing the same thing each day, I will just give you a brief summary of what we did during the day, unless we did something out of the norm.

Today was a more relaxing day. Mont went and played at a school friend's house. Lukey took Mase to swimming class, while Marg and I vacuumed the house and Marg cleaned the bathrooms etc. Lukey, Mase, Marg and I visited Donut King (guess what we had. Yep: hotdog and donuts washed down with a coke), then did a small shop. Mase fell asleep going home. While Mase had his lunchtime sleep, Lukey visited Jodi, Marg managed a nanna nap and I was on Mase duty. He slept until 3pm, Lukey arrived home about 3;15pm, Mont was dropped home a few minutes before Lukey. Mase today was excellent except for being a little grumpy this morning. Mont was also a little grumpy this morning.

Lukey and I managed to watch the V8s either live or taped during the day. Lukey was happier than me, as Jamie W came 2nd and Lowndesy finished 6th. Go Lowndesy.

Dinner was Marg's sausages and vegies with mash. Very YUMMA.

Tomorrow will be similar to today.

No riding or photos today.

Day 142 - Sunday 28th August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 65.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 14 in hospital - no change.

As we are basically, doing the same thing each day, I will just give you a brief summary of what we did during the day, unless we did something out of the norm.

Marg and I were up at 6:30am, as Mase walked out by himself and he was in a good mood, letting us entertain him and allowing Lukey to catch up on some much needed sleep. Lukey, Mont & Mase left about 9:30am to visit Jodi. Marg and I left also and headed to Aus Fair, for a coffee and some food shopping. Jodi wanted the same handbag as Marg has. We had checked out a few bag shops including where Marg bought it BUT to no avail. Well today, the lady in Zelows (where we bought Marg's bag) suggested that we try Strandbags which we did and Johanna the shop assistant found the exact bag. I showed my appreciation and shock by saying that I would give Johanna a kiss, Johanna politely declined my very generous offer. Meanwhile, Marg is photographing both her bag and the new bag and sending it to Jodi. Jodi replied with a smilie face. Both Marg and I were both ecstatic. We did a small shop at Coles next door.

We dropped into camp, where I had to get a packet of tablets that had run out, plus some more clothes. As we left, Lukey had texted us to say Mase was asleep in his bed, so don't come in through the garage, use the front door.

Lukey and I again managed to watch today's V8s, even when Mase had woken. Lowndesy was 2nd. Go Lowndesy. Lukey was happier than me, as Jamie W won. Mont was absorbed most of the day making videos on her iPhone.
During the arvo, we threw our old bread onto the back lawn and we were very surprised to see 5 sulphur crested cockatoos fly in and eat some of it. Mase was over the moon.

Dinner was KFC and Subway. It was nice.

Tomorrow will be similar to today.

No riding today.

Mase was rapt to see the cockatoos.

Day 143 - Monday 29th August 2016.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 66.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 15 in hospital - Nerve test tomorrow.

As we are basically, doing the same thing each day, I will just give you a brief summary of what we did during the day, unless we did something out of the norm.

Last night was not good, Mase didn't sleep well at all. Marg got up about 2am to assist Lukey. I got up at 6:30am, and Lukey was up with Mase, after a little while Mase came to me and Lukey snuck off to bed. He managed a few hours sleep. I drove Mont to school and about 9am, Lukey and Mase visited Jodi, while Marg and I drove to Robina shopping centre, to buy Mase a Galaxy Star projector night light. We stopped at Donut King for a coffee and maybe some cinnanon donuts. I do need to ride, as I am turning into a bigger 'jumbo' than normal. I wonder if the donuts could be doing it.

We arrived back at Lukeys about 12:15pm. Marg went straight to bed, Lukey got home about 12:30pm with Mase asleep. I buggered about on my laptop until 2pm when I went to sit in the queue with the other 'crazy' parents. Mont had a good day at school and we entertained Mase until dinner time.

Dinner was pasta. It was YUMMA.

Tomorrow will be similar to today, we hope to get to Bingo.

No riding or photos today.

Southport - Assisting Lukey and the Grandkids - Day 67.

Current Medical updates.
Jodi - Day 16 in hospital - Awaiting results from Nerve test.

As we are basically, doing the same thing each day, I will just give you a brief summary of what we did during the day, unless we did something out of the norm.

Last night, Mase was better. Marg got up about 5:45am to assist Lukey. I got up at 6:15am, and Lukey was up with Mase. Depending upon Mase's mood, it takes some time before Mase comes to me and Lukey snuck back to bed. He managed a few hours sleep. Marg was feeling a bit second rate today, so she was house bound all day and we gave Bingo a miss. I drove Mont to school and about 9am, Lukey dropped Mase at his other grandpa's place (Don), while Lukey visited Jodi. I drove to Helensvale shopping centre and had a coffee at Gloria Jeans, then a small food shop at Woollies. About 12:30pm, Lukey and Mase arrived back home and Mase slept until after 2pm. I buggered about on my laptop until 2pm when I went to sit in the queue with the other 'crazy' parents. Mont had a good day at school. With Lukey, Mase and Marg looking on, I mowed the back lawn, then Mase and I threw bits of bread on the lawn and we watched the birds fly in, Mase was happy.

Marg made her 'world famous' mini mes. they were YUMMA.

Tomorrow will be similar to today, except that Lukey has his new car booked in for its 1st service. Due to the current situation, I will be taking his car to its 1st service and wait there until it is ready.

Last night, was Mase's best night so far. He slept until 5:30am. Lukey woke about 2am expecting Mase to wake soon, he didn't. Consequently, Lukey didn't have the greatest nights sleep. I got up at 2am for a pitstop and then woke at 5:45am, to find myself in bed by myself. Marg couldn't get back to sleep, so she laid on the couch with her pillow and blanket. Mase didn't know 'what to make of Marg' asleep on the couch, so he woke her up. Fair enough. I got up just on 6am and started playing with Mase. While I was getting dressed, I heard screams from the other room. There were 11 cockies on the lawn and spouting, by the time I took photos. See what was left. Mase is over the moon with feeding 'pretty birdies'. I noticed one of the cockies eating the weeds in the lawn. Lukey is happy with that, if they start to destroy the lawn, we will worry about that if it happens.

Mont had running training this morning, so I dropped her at school by 8am. I got back to Lukeys and then drove his car to the service center for its 1 month service. I took my iPad and modem with me and waited. Jarrod was my service man, he said it would take maybe 2 hours, I was prepared for that and he showed me where the customer waiting area was. WOW!.
He said help yourself to the food and drinks in the kitchen area. There were 3 3 seater couches, 3 single seater lounge chairs, a work desk with 2 chairs, a coffee table with 2 single seater lounge chairs and a glass top table with 4 chairs a 50" TV PLUS a kids room with a kids table and 4 chairs a wallunit full of toys plus a 20" TV. I made myself comfy in one of the single seater chairs. I then walked over to the kitchen to make myself a coffee. I expected an urn but it was a fancy coffee machine, there was no way that I could operate that, so I noticed the sign on the glass door fridge which was full of soft drink cans "Free for Customers". I took a coke. The car was finished by 10:15am about 1.5 hours.

I drove back to Lukeys, Marg was back in bed asleep. Lukey and I then took Mase over to Helensvale shops, as we got out of the car Mase was asleep, so we got back in and drove back to Lukeys. What's that saying about "Let sleeping dogs lie", well, "Don't wake Mase if he is asleep". So I didn't get my coffee. I buggered about on my lapatop until 2pm, when I went to sit in the queue with the other 'crazy' parents. Mont had a good day at school. About 3;30pm, we all leave Lukeys. Lukey and the kids went to visit Jodi, while Marg and I went to our club (CSI Southport). Lukey rang me as he left the hospital and I ordered dinner, as he arrived with the kids, the food was nearly ready.

Dinner was: Marg Lamb shrank, Mont Fish'n'chips, Lukey Parma, Mase cereal Me 12" pizza. It was all YUMMA.

Tomorrow will be similar to today, except no car service or dinner at our club..

Day 146 - Thursday 1st September 2016.

Southport - Jodi is home. Yippee - Day 69.

Jodi came home today - Yippee.

Last night, was another good night for Mase, he slept until 4:30am. Lukey woke and attended to Mase, Marg got up about 5;30am and I slept in until 6:15am. I got up and started playing with Mase. Took Mont to school and when Lukey and Mase left to visit Jodi, just as we were about to leave to call into camp to get some more clothes and then a small shop at Helensvale, Lukey rang to say Jodi will be coming home today. SHIT. A quick change of plans, I vacuumed the house while Marg cleaned the house. When finished, we gave 'calling into camp' a miss and went to Helensvale for a coffee and then a small shop at Coles.

Jodi arrived home, looking good but tired. We set her up on the couch. I buggered about on my laptop until 2pm, when I went to sit in the queue with the other 'crazy' parents. Mont had a good day at school. I didn't tell Mont that mummy was home and the surprise she got when walking in the front door and seeing mummy there, was priceless.
While Marg prepared dinner, I loaded the mighty Navara with ALL OUR CRAP. Gees, did we have some. Yep.

Marg made macaroni cheese for dinner. It was YUMMA.

We said our goodbyes after dinner and drove back to camp. It was absolutely fantastic staying with Lukey and playing with the grandkids, it is a pity that Jodi had to go to hossy.
We unpacked the mighty Navara and by 7pm, we were all settled in, back in our fiver. The only things that we forgot, were our 2 towels still hanging on the back of the bathroom door and Marg's bottled water, which is in the garage.

PS: One thing that Marg will miss is her bath. She does love her baths. She treatened Lukey that she might 'pop in' each arvo. I hope that she is joking.

Tomorrow will be sleeping, we are a tad tired.
