We awoke about 6:00am, got showered and finished packing up and hit the road at 7:00am.
We entered the Smith St then headed south along the M1, drove 75kms and stopped at Sleepy Hollow Rest Area(8:08am), then a long stint (178kms) to just south of
Grafton(10:21am) for fuel and morning tea. We bought sangas for lunch and we drove another 141kms to Macksville Park(12:35pm), where we stopped for lunch.
Then did the last stint (154kms) to the Croki CP(2:51pm).
The Croki CP is right on the banks of the Manning river and is in the middle of nowhere BUT an excellent spot for an overnighter. We plugged in power and water only.
The Pacific Hwy was a beautiful drive, with some roadworks but very pleasant. I was surprised with the amounts I drove between stops. It didn't feel like that.
I had a nanna nap for about an hour. While Marg buggered about on the internet, then she went to bed early.
Dinner was boiled dimmies, easy and nice.
Tomorrow, we plan to stay at Goulburn about 500kms.

It was a tad windy.
Nice drive thru sites. Bitumen and grass.

We awoke about 6:00am, got showered and finished packing up and hit the road at 6:58am.
We entered the Pacific Hwy, drove 17kms to Taree(7:14am) for fuel then had a big drive of 213kms to Wyong(9:48am) for more fuel. we drove a further 172kms and stopped at 7-11 Pleasants Nest South(12:16pm) for lunch. The sangas were yumma. We drove along Pennant Hills road, this road is a real PITA, but we survived. We stopped at BP Marulan(1:29pm) after 81kms, so we are nearly full of fuel when we leave tomorrow. We drove the remaining 36kms to the Goulburn South CP for our overnighter, arriving at 2:15pm.
The Goulburn South CP is a bit rundown looking, BUT the amenities block near us is new and the shower was beautiful. We plugged in power and water only.
The Pacific Hwy, Pennant Hills Rd, M2, M7 and Hume hwy was a beautiful drive, with bugger all roadworks. As I said above the Pennant Hills road was bloody awful, BUT once I got onto M2 then M7 then the Hume Hwy, it was good. Again, I was surprised with the amounts I drove between stops. It didn't feel like that.
Before showering, we had a nanna nap, when I woke up, Marg was already up.
Dinner was Mr Mc Cain's parma and vegies. Nice and easy.
Tomorrow, we plan to stay at Wangaratta about 430kms.

Last night I had retrieved my sleepingbag from the cupboard, a brilliant decision as it dropped to 3.4°. We awoke about 6:00am, got showered and finished packing up and hit the road at 6:55am.
We entered the Hume Hwy, drove 179kms to Gundagai(8:57am) for fuel and stopped for a coffee at the adjoining Hungry Jacks, then had a big drive of 254kms to
Wangaratta (12:11pm). At Gundagai, we rang the 'Painters Island CP' and left our number but they never rang us back. No drama, so we drove to their entrance, only to be confronted with sign saying that they are closed due to flood waters and true enough, they were an island. So we checked Wikicamps and rang the Big4 CP which is about 2kms north of Wang, she would take us, so we dropped anchor there for the night. We had to unhitch and I only added power so it took a couple of minutes to get ready.
Now bearing in mind, that it is Saturday arvo at approx 12:45pm, we drove into downtown Wang looking for a cafe for lunch. The one that we used back in easter 2012, was chockers, so we drove around town and found a bakery where we bought pies, and drove back to camp and ate them. We both managed a nanna nap during the arvo.
Dinner was Mr McCain's pizza slices. Nice and easy.
Tomorrow, we plan to arrive home about 290kms.

We awoke about 6:00am, got showered and finished packing up and hit the road at 6:44am.
We entered the Hume Hwy, drove 21kms to Wang Service Centre(7:13am) in light drizzle. Got fuel and had Maccas for brekky. The traffic was next to nothing, so I
sat in the left lane and set cruise to 95kph and away we went. Wanted a break just before hitting Melbourne, so we stopped at the Wallan Service Centre (9:38am) after 174kms. We walked right past Maccas and went to 'some' coffee shop, it was nice, read the Herald Sun on our ipads and had our coffee. Walked outside liked the scenery, so I took a few photos.
As you drive home, we find that there is always a hill approaching Melbourne that shows the skyline and we feel like we are home. Marg was a bit slow with the
camera, so no photo.
We arrived home at 11:31am and spent the remainder of the day slowly unpacking. As at now, which is Monday(26th Sep) at 8:00pm, we spent most of today washing clothes, bedding etc.
