I woke at 5:30am and got up and went on the Internet, I woke Marg at 6am, we had brekky, finished packing up and left camp at 6:45am.
We headed along Smith St to the M1, turned north and drove about 35kms to the Logan motorway. The traffic flowed well, just as we turned onto the Logan Motorway
the traffic on the M1 came to a standstill. Tuff.
Our first stop was opposite the BP Purga (8:07am) and off to the Caltex Warwick (9:37am) for a top up then a stop at Oman Ana (10:50am). We stopped at BP Goondiwindi (12:14pm) for a fuel top up and lunch and finally arrived at Gwydir CP, Moree at 2:25pm. We were assigned site 2, which is a drive thru, so I connected the power and put the Dish up. The traffic for the whole day was very light, even the M1 during peak hour kept flowing.
Dinner was one of Marg's frozen casseroles, todays was curry. It was YUMMA.
Tomorrow we drive from Moree to Leighton's Peak Hill CP about 450kms.

Same as yesterday, I woke at 5:30am and got up and went on the Internet, I woke Marg at 6am, we had brekky, finished packing up and left camp at 7:04am.
We turned onto the Newell Hwy and headed south to Peak Hill about 448kms away, another long day. Our first planned stop was at the Shell Roadhouse (8:27am) just south of Narrabri for a diesel top up, next stop was at Coonabrabran (10:16am) just near their Dump Point, that's where we saw a tortoise/turtle in the river. Next stop was for lunch at the Caltex Roadhouse (11:47) just south of Gilgandra, Marg bought some sangas they were yumma. It gave me extra strength to continue onto Peak Hill about 113kms away. We arrived at Leighton's at 1:32pm and Leighton put us on site 20 (our usual site). After Leighton directed me beautifully onto the site, I connected the power and set up the Dish. While we waited for Pauline's world famous scone and jam, Marg had a nanna nap while I buggered about on the internet.
At 4:04pm, Leighton arrived with our scone and jam, they were yumma, as usual. It is great to have Leighton and Pauline back at the helm of their caravan park,
although I don't think they would agree.
At 4:30pm, Marg and I walked upto the Peak Hill ex Servicemens' Club for pokies, beer and dinner. I had chicken schnitzel, while Marg had fish and chips. It was YUMMA.
Tomorrow we drive from Leighton's Peak Hill CP to Big4 Parklands at Shepparton about 560kms.

for a diesel top up, next stop was at Bundaburrah Rest Stop (8:28am). Next stop was at West Wyalong (9:34am) for a rest then off to the Caltex Narrandera (11:10am) for a fuel top up and a sanga for a late morning tea. Our lunch stop at always going to be at Jerilderie Bakery (12:38pm), Marg had a jam donut as she had a pie at Narrandera, while I managed 2 homemade pies (steak and Mushroom, steak and onions) absolutely YUMMA plus a coffee each. After a good 30minute lunch break, we headed towards Shepp, stopping at Strathmerton (2:02pm) before stopping for another diesel top up at BP Shepparton (3:06pm) and arrived at Big4 Parklands (3:12pm) for our last night of this year's sojourn.
The rains arrived at 4pm and hasn't stopped yet. Welcome to Victoria.
Dinner was cheese sangas, as I couldn't be bothered to wash up.
Tomorrow we hopefully should arrive home about lunchtime.

It started raining yesterday about 5:30pm and stopped at 3;30am giving us 20.2mm.
Marg woke at 5:00am while I dozed until 6:00am. We can't leave until 8:30am ish so we miss the peak traffic. We watched Kochie's Sunrise and on the internet and
packed up and left at 8:41am. Our first stop was at the Seymour Service Centre where I bought a bag of ice for the 'shitter' (the ice cleans the crap off the tank), our next and final stop was the BP Cooper Rd, Epping which had a public weighbridge, so I weighed ourselves 5,660kgs compared to when we left we weighed 5,620kgs, so I was happy. We headed along the Western ring Rd, before going down the Tulla Hwy. The traffic over the Bolte Bridge had come to a standstill and on Ch40 the truckies were saying that the tunnel was also at a standstill, so we headed to Beach Rd and arrived home at 11:55am.
Home all safe and sound.
We spent most of the arvo unpacking and will finish in the next couple of days.
The highlight of the day was when Mum and Dad called by to welcome us home. They are looking good, considering the drama they have had recently.
